Wojciech Fangor is the only Polish artist to have had his individual exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. He conducted teaching activities at universities in England and the USA. His works are in the largest collections in the world. “M22” is a mesmerizing picture pulsating with color and an amazing combination of opposing colors that create a visual illusion. The artist in an extremely sophisticated way played the optical game between his canvases and the viewer. It made him recognizable all over the world. His achievements include both abstract and figural works, but it was Wojciech Fangor’s abstractions that gained great recognition.
