Karol Bąk is a world-famous painter and graphic artist, graduate of the Poznań Academy of Fine Arts, with a few hundred oil paintings, which represent the largest but not the only part of his artistic activity.

The artist also created graphics, ink drawings, pastel portraits, pencil sketches, and wall murals. These works differ not only in technique but in the way of reception.
Oil painting can be considered to be a brighter and more cheerful side of the artistic soul, while drawings and sketches are darker and more ominous aspects of creativity.
These two elements combine in created for years thematic cycles – Sailing ships and Dialogues. Besides them in oil painting are also Cocoons, Halos, four elements, Judyta i Salome, Prima Mobilia and Nocturnes series inspired by the music of Frederic Chopin, on the occasion of the 2010 Chopin Year.

The work of Karol Bąk successfully represents Poland on the international arena of contemporary art. The artist has had many exhibitions, both in Poland and abroad – Amsterdam, Rotterdam, London, Rome, New York, Las Vegas, Taipei, Segovia .. and his works can be found in museums and private collections on all continents.
