MILLIONS OF PLN FOR THE WORK OF A POLISH ARTIST!

An anonymous collector paid almost PLN 7 million for the painting “Portrait of a Lady (After Louis Leopold Boilly)” by Gdynia artist Ewa Juszkiewicz. The artwork was auctioned off at Christie’s auction house. The proceeds will be donated to the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews. The second painting by the artist – “The Straw Hat (according to Louise Elisabeth Vigee-Le Brun)” – also achieved a spectacular price of PLN 4.38 million.
