RECORD FOR A PAINTING BY FRIDA KAHLO!

 

Frida Kahlo’s painting was sold at the Tuesday auction in Sotheby’s for over PLN 143.3 million, or $ 34.9 million.

The self-portrait from 1949 entitled “Diego and me” (“Diego y yo”) became the most-sold work of an artist from South America.

Georgia O’Keeffe remains the auction record holder among painters.
