“Nostalgic landscapist of non-existing spaces. Sabina Maria Grzyb – Artist of great sensitivity to color, operates the block in a monumental way, which creates its own worlds of undeniable beauty.”
A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, at the faculty of Painting and Sculpture. The artist focuses mainly on composition and static rock forms. She weaves real motifs and experiences into dreamlike spaces. She balances on the borders of abstraction, fantasy and realism while maintaining her own, characteristic and peculiar form. This painting is filled with metaphors and meanings, as well as a certain dose of melancholy – it refers to human existence. Sabina Maria Grzyb can be called a creator of dreamlike fantasy landscapes.
“The strongest inspiration for me are rock forms, their monumentality, stability and structure. When I paint, I return many times to an imaginary land full of rock monuments. The motifs I use in narrative form are anachronistic but also timeless. My paintings have an ambiguous dimension, sometimes frivolous, sometimes nostalgic.
The balance, static composition and dominant element that appear in each painting have a calming effect on the recipient.”
Author of numerous individual exhibitions and participant of collective exhibitions. The artist’s works are in private collections in Poland and abroad.
